Melbourne was my first home in Australia and I fell completely in love. It’s very difficult to move somewhere else when you’ve found routine, friends and a place you’re incredibly happy, but it’s important to realise your location shouldn’t define how you live your life. As I prepare to move to the Sunshine Coast tomorrow, I’m filled with anticipation and fear at the thought of leaving, but excitement for this new chapter.
The plan is to move to Mooloolaba, pick up work on a strawberry farm and hopefully complete a chunk of my regional work before backpacking round Asia like a stereotypical millennial for a month. As someone who’s never experienced a non-nursing job, this could be an interesting experience. I’ve heard mixed reviews about farming, with some people saying it was one of the best experiences of their travels, and others complaining about the tough conditions, poor pay and difficult management. Whatever happens, it will be an adventure! I will keep you all posted x
P.S Melbourne, I will be back
